Job Overview
CMS Management Consulting is currently recruiting a Geotechnical Engineer to work in Edmonton, Alberta.   Our client is an industry leading multi-discipline consulting engineering firm. They provide planning, design, project management and delivery services. They realize that having the right people is of utmost importance to their ability to provide exceptional service and reward their staff as such.

You will be dealing with commercial, multi-family residential & institutional projects throughout Alberta – primarily in the Edmonton area.  You’ll bring strong capabilities with foundations studies, slope stability analysis earth support and dewatering methods.  You will also have experience in materials testing and construction monitoring. 

This position will also involve conducting groundwater studies along with environmental site assessments. 

At this level of position you’ll be looked upon to guide and counsel junior & intermediate staff. This role offers split duties between design & project management.

This position carries split duties between investigations and design. 

Job Requirements
P.Eng status (ideally designated through APEGGA)

More than five years of exposure to Canadian building design principals on commercial, multi-family residential and institutional projects.  At least two years must be dealing with Alberta projects.

A sample portfolio of some of the completed projects and studies in your career.

Proven strengths in site investigations, construction reviews, specification writing and report preparation.

A comfort & ease in dealing with people – be that subordinates or clients.
