Our client is a North American fabrication leader. This post is responsible for implementing formal lean philosophies & process into their Camrose operations. You’ll be working in an environment that is informally accepting of lean and championing the transition.
Ideally, your background includes process optimization & industrial engineering the metals, mining or materials sector. You have experience optimizing process and communicating benefits to all stake holders. You're driven and want to continue to excel in your career as this is a post that can lead into more & more senior assignments.
Working closely with general management and supervisors this is a hands-on role with a lot of time on the floor. We’re looking for a popular leader when it comes to inciting change, one who creates buy-in as part of their implementation process.
Your previous experience working in lean manufacturing settings and project implementation will be rewarded with a strong base salary and a series of quality bonuses with an annual bonus – all of which will reflect the success of your project.
A degree in engineering with at least 4 years of project management experience in a lean manufacturing setting
The ideal candidate will have a background in steel or metallurgical settings
Strong familiarity with Lean, 6 Sigma, 5-S & TMC & SPC philosophies – ideally certified but at least willing to pursue certification
The ability to communicate the benefits of change to a vast workforce and spend more time in the plant than the office.
Strong communication and problem solving skills.
Self directed attitude towards work, but with the ability to work in a team
