Job Overview
Our client is an international leader in utility construction.  This role will lead the implementation and maintenance of their safety initiatives through the Western US.  Working with an executive team you will be responsible for creating and enforcing safety measures throughout the region.
The duties of this position will include but not be limited to;

  • Performing site visits to ensure safety regulations are being respected
  • Attend any safety regulatory hearings pertaining to safety
  • Work with management at all levels to provide guidance on safety measures
  • Ensure compliance with evolving state & federal safety regulations.

Job Requirements

·  7-10 years Manager/Supervisor experience in a safety related position
·  3-5  years construction projects or related experience
·  Experience in managing safety in an electrical transmission, distribution and substation environment preferred
·  Experience with Regulatory enforcement and contest process and procedures
·  Experience in Organizational Development techniques 
·  An understanding of Six-Sigma methodologies is highly preferred.
