Job Overview
This position is for a senior level site superintendent for a busy general contractor in Calgary.  Our client is involved with various large-scale projects in the area and requires a superintendent who understands the climate of the area – in terms of both the work-force and the supplier market. 

Maintaining a focus on the profitability of projects, you will be responsible for all physical work on site as well as keeping detailed & accurate paperwork pertaining to onsite activities.  You’ll also oversee all safety elements onsite.

In this senior capacity you will also be involved in training and mentoring foremen and promising field staff.

This position will be chiefly involved in commercial projects and as such we are only interested in candidates who bring a track record of success in commercial projects. 

Job Requirements
At least 10 years of experience in the commercial construction sector. 

A proven ability to complete projects on time and on budget. 

Effective management of full-cycle construction projects onsite, including safety, contractor management, construction planning and project controls.

Labour relations experience with unionized and non-unionized environments.

Ability to professionally interact with internal and external customers.

You will be expected to spend roughly 90% of your time to the onsite supervision of daily operations.
