Job Overview
A heavy equipment rental/service company is looking for a Heavy Duty Mechanic to perform
field service work on heavy trucks, forklifts, cranes and earth moving equipment. You’ll begin
based in their Edmonton shop and once you have a proven understanding of their equipment
you’ll be relocated to Northern Alberta to develop your own field service area.

The company will provide formal training and travel to manufacturers across North America,
keeping their team up to date on the newest technology in the industry. You’ll be offered certified
training courses – on top of vacation time.

The company may also provide relocation to successful candidates.

Job Requirements
Qualified Candidates will have a journeyperson ticket and more than five years of mechanical
experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician. A focus on earth moving equipment, cranes
and heavy trucks is a certain asset.

The company uses state of the art diagnostic systems and as such a strong understanding of
electrical diagnosis & wiring is required. Strong computer skills will also be required.

You will be working directly with clients so strong interpersonal skills are required. Also, acting as a satellite rep in the service truck you will also be responsible for keeping your inventory. Previous experience ordering/stocking inventory will be a certain asset.

This position will require permanent relocation to a Northern Alberta community.
